Approach
I worked with Boston Consulting Group to scope which skills their consultants struggled with when conducting difficult conversations. Then I created 3 realistic workplace scenarios for players to put those skills into practice.
Tools and technologies
Figma, Pixlr, Attensi Creator (proprietary scripting engine based on Unity), Jira, Agile, Slack, Teams, Confluence, Miro, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
Sample of work
This project is under NDA.
Team collaboration
Internal
Simulation Director provided high level feedback, Customer Owner liaised with client-side project director, Project Manager kept project running to time and budget
Client-side
Subject Matter Experts guided us to ascertain what the best practises were for their training
Result and impact
Sim Director score of 8 (6 is standard) - project being used to show best practise of multi-product integration over the course of 1 learning journey/story
Reflection and improvement
On top of my usual 3 desktop games, it was gratifying creating supporting content to enhance the player experience - from minigames to powerpoints to Excel tasks, every piece of game design served the story of “you’re a consultant on a project”. It was a real challenge to find mechanics within the games themselves to simplify that high stakes professional experience into something accessible to our broad audience (all support staff, from cleaners to the finance department).
